I have a MP4 LCD player but it is a DC5 volt power input.... anyone out there knows how to reduce the DC12 of the car power voltage to DC 5 voltage so that it can use for my player?

go to radio shack or a store that sells diferent electronics and buy a universal power supply. some of these come with a switch to select what output voltage you want. the amperage may need to be checked as well. most i-pod stores have a car adaptor that can be modified as well.

hope that helped

If your player draws less then 1/2A you can use a 7805 from Radioshack (with a heat sink).
