Ok, so I'll just be driving down the road, and the dome light will flicker on then off and there will be a click coming from the drivers side lower dash. Sounds like a relay clicking...

Any ideas? Could it be the factory security thing going bad? It isn't really even an alarm, just kinda like a dome light sensor that honks the horn right? That is why I would think that. Also, just for future reference, where is this factory alarm box located at, I looked up under the driver side and under the kickpanel plastic and couldn't see it, but it's dark out.
Someone help, this is gettin really annoying.

It isn't an alarm, only keyless entry.  Sounds like it could be a bad door pin switch.  The pin switches are in the door latch.  When the dome light comes on does it show that a door is open?

Or, if its an aftermarket keyless module perhaps the domelight supervision relay/wiring is messed up. But most liklely a bad/loose pinswitch as stated above.

Just standard keyless entry that came with the vehicle, and no door ajar light on the dash, door pin is what I thought at first, but that doesn't make the relay click right?

Generally no. You do have a weird problem if this is a factory unit. Are you 100% sure it is factory and not "dealer installed"? There is a difference.

If the unit is factory installed I would need a factory Service manual to help you, but I don't have one.

Now another approach..... most likely this is a problem with the domelight module, may not neccesarly be the keyless module. Try to locate what is clicking and check the connections. Also ,for giggles make sure no fuses are loose (seen this happen from people jamming wires into them).

If all else fails find another module at the junkyard...cross your fingers and plug it in.

Keep us posted.

Also check the harness behind the headlight switch..could be shorting causing the module to click. I believe on that year truck the wires go to the domelight module.

ahaha, you know, I reseated the relay that was clicking when it would happen and it hasn't happened since then. It happened so randomly though, it may not be fixed, but I think it is.

yep, sounds like a loose or corroded connection at that relay.
