Would I be correct that the only input that would shut down the compustar including the accesories after the alarm has been disabled would be an input from the brake light?
I cut this brake input and still the unit shuts off when the key is inserted.
How about the 556LW? Does the Passlock continue to get a resistance while running or just while cranking.
Could something be cancelling the resistance output from the 556LW? Although I would think the accesories would remain on and I don't get a security light.
Thanks for any thoughts.

OK, OK, I found my mistake.
Instead of using diodes to isolate the 3 door triggers, I used inputs from door, trunk, and hood and didn't install a hood switch. For some reason when the key is inserted there must be a door input which was interpreted as a hood switch because of the way I hooked it up.
Thanks again to everyone who took the time to help out a rookie.

the whole idea of having the hood pin installed is to prevent the unit from starting if someone is working under the hood.... dont be lazy pal... spend the 10 minutes extra it takes to properly install the hood pin switch....
