what do you guys think of mtx brand amps because im thinking about getting the mxa6001 600 watt mono model for my kicker 600 subs

mtx is pretty good, but i could think of some better ones.
Whatever you do, DO NOT let the white smoke leak out of the wires.....

Then why don't you list some?
MTX makes a decent product for the money, for the watt to dollar ratio, you usually can fair pretty well. I view them as a middle of the road product with good customer support.

as for brand.....directed, eclipse, kicker, JL,.........need i keep going? i didn't say mtx wasn't a good amp. true, the watt to dollar ratio is good and i've owned several mtx products with no objections. he asked for opinions so give him mine. again, mtx is good, but i can think of better ones.

the newer MTX amps have had reliability issues. the older models were rock solid

I would look at the 8001 instead of the 6001 for the extra 120 dollars it is a better option.
