i was looking to buy some 15 inch L7's. 2 of them actually.   my main purpose was to go spl.but i dont want it to sound to bad. i can get them for about 200 each. is there anything else you would suggest that could hit harder for about the same price and wattage range. they dont have to be 15's, they just have to hit HARD.

For $200 bucks thats definently worth it. Just gotta make sure you have the amps to power those hungry monsters. I was running a single L7 with a 600watt monoblock audiobahn and it hit hard even with that setup.

Check out some threads written by Jeff Chilcott:  https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/search.asp?KW=jeffchilcott&SM=1&SI=AR&FM=2&OB=1&SPN=3

Here's one to start with:  https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp?tid=78350&KW=jeffchilcott

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

you're probably not going to find better for that price. but as said, those things love lots of power so you better have the wattage to back them up.

Whatever you do, DO NOT let the white smoke leak out of the wires.....
