I recently bought a product for my ipod that connects to my 2004 alpine (CDA-9851) via aux input and charges it as well. Anyone i connected it to my HU with the rca inputs, and the two wires(red and black) to my wires from my alpine. Now its connected, but not connected right. Its scratchy and barely audible when i turn it wayyy up.

What do i need to do? Do i need to ground it, or is there not enough power to connect those two wires to the HU, and i should be running them from my battery? thanks in advance

Only 2 ways to wire an ipod to that deck, the KCA 420 outboard adapter or the simple aux-in din plug from Alpine. Not sure which you're using...?
