Further to JWorm suggestion, you may want to look into CANSL2. It does, tach, lock, alarm bah bah bah... worth the price of admission.

Hey everyone when you are sitting in the car with the key in your pocket or whatever and you unlock the doors by pressing the unlock button on the door the factory alarm disarms. So obviously if the aftermarket alarm unlocks the doors it will disarm as well. I was wondering if you guys still feel it would be good to wire up the factory disarm and why.thanx so much

That's only if you sit inside the vehicle without breaking the door tigger. Otherwise, the alarm will sound. The door tigger is what acitvate the factory alarm. Since you are sitting inside the vehicle without breaking the door trigger, the factory alarm won't activate.

That what the disarm does, it deactivate the factory arm when you are no longer sitting inside the vechicle. That's the simpliest I am able to put it.

so you dont think pressing unlock on the aftermarket alarm will disarm the factory alarm as well because it is unlocking the doors in the process and when the doors are unlocked the factory alarm disarms?thanx

They are two seperate wire. The alarm unit will send two different signal to the factory module.
1st it tell the vehicle to disarm, then 2nd, unlock.
I am not getting you to think logically. Think of it like this. You have the car arm. Then think of someone reaching in to hit the unlock button on the arm rest.
