Do you use a factory bolt or use your own screw or do you just tap into a factory ground wire?

thanx

I always go to the kick panel area and scrape a spot down to bare metal then screw the grounds there.

It depends on the car. I like to use factory ground wires when i can, usually from the door harness. On Toyota, it's WHITE/ black, Nissan- black, most Fords-BLACK/ blue. If not, i will use a factory 10mm bolt....

i normally use a factory bolt that is close. the shorter the ground always the better. make sure to test for ground though. some sub dash pannels are metal but just have small spot welds or are attached to plastic. use a test light for testing for ground this will tell u if it is good a dmm will pick up even a weak ground...

I usually run the gronud to kick panel, scrape off paint, and screw in with self tap screw and star washer..  Sometimes ill throw a few screws around the ring terminal so it cant possibly come loose
