Does anyone know for sure what the best way to store an optima gel cell battery for prolonged periods is?

to be more specific, I need to know if I should store the battery with a full charge, completely dead, or somewhere inbetween?

I would say that a full charge would be best. Storing them at a low charge level will pretty much kill the battery.

How long are you intending to store it for?

not sure. It used to be my second battery in my vehicle but since im decreasing the amount of my amps from 4 down to 2 and running all class D and not going to be running massive subs anymore with the car off, I dont need it in the car. Ill store it untill my primary dies.
