I have a 2006 Grandprix GXP with factory navigation and onstar.      I want to interface a bluetooth kit (probably a parrot), taking advantage of the factor radio mute.  I would also love to be able to use the onstar mic and have the parrot use the onstar interface so i can hear the audio though the factory speakers.   What kits would i need to get this done?   I really don't care about keeping onstar if that matters.

Any help would be great.

You will need to buy a Parrot kit and wire harness. Parrot has a mic with their kit, you will not be able to use on-stars mic. The parrot kit will not effect onstar or the navigation and with the harness, you can use your exsisting car speakers for sound and radio mute. Like i have always said, the harness's are designed for easy install for novice installer's. If you are a professional installer, then you can wire the system with no harness. Utherwise, use the harness. Parrots have ISO plugs which will throw you for a loop if you do not understand them buut they make a great hands free kit. PM me if you need more help or products.

Yes you can use OnStar mic etc - even all OnStar controls for your bluetooth . . .
check out www.coastaletech.com
they have a GM OnStar 'lockpick' that does just that.
It lets you hook up your bluetooth phone connection to the OnStar system.
