Toyota Yaris door actuators?

tried to install actuators into buddies toyota yaris...so i cut into the cable to expose the wire that operates the locking mechanism but now it won't work with the door lock/unlock thingy on the door...it'll lock with the actuators but not using the door mechanism which becomes dangerous in case of emergency. help someone please...

Did you check to see if it was still hooked up to the manual switch?

are you trying to use the manula lock lever with the door open? alot of toyotas and other imports will not let the door lock with the door open

Did you secure both ends of the cable afterwards? if you don't they won't work...

looked at the looking mechanism but the actuator rod isn't that long..if anyone has done the yaris any pictures wuold help tremendously...thanks.
