My friends 4 runner has viper 550 in it, it was installed a few years ago, no problems at all, recent battery change but was working after also. Yesterday i got a call and the alarm wasnt responding anymore, both remotes didnt work. Fuses fine. Was working fine earlier in the day. Had them disconnect the battery and reconnect it, then the alarm started working again for a while, then died again. Any suggestions? is there a way to reset the brain? All wires are soldered.
TIA

Check for an under the hood fuse.  I've installed a few 550s in my day that came back because the underhood fuse didn't hold up very well.

I've also had a 550esp in my personal car that had a power wire come out of the harness some how.
