HI,

I have a 30gal. 5hp oilless air compressor and a 20 7hp motor with oiled pump! the 20 gal aviously fills the tank faster than the 30gal.

I was trying to run both tanks in to just one motor system(the 20gal system) could this be possible? ofcourse I would have to make sure that the auto cut off switch, will cut off at the right PSI.

Has anybody try this before?

I have heard of people doing it without problems (using one motor to pressurize one tank which is then connected to another tank without a motor). You need to make sure each tank can handle the pressure. The one with the motor on it should but check the other one. If the one motor can compress the air to 150 psi then the other tank needs to be able to handle this PSI or more. If the second tank can only handle 100psi then that is dangerous.

I would hook up each tank with a flexible line between them as the vibrations or movement of each seperate tank may crack a solid non flexible connection.

thank you.....that's exactly what I had in mind! before I go ahead and do it! I'm ganna tripple check the automatic switch on the 20gl. air compressor....
