I want to purchase one but I have no idea what to look for. Is their a specific brand or model anyone uses? I will be using it for setting amplifier gains. From what Ive read, its a stand-alone unit, and thats what I want. Ok, thanks!

an inexpensive one is the vehllman handheld scope, HPS10, its around $180 but will do the trick if your just trying to set gains, look at http://www.realmofexcursion.com/store and click on tools. i have one that i use for setting gains and it works just fine. the display isnt that big and it does require 6 AA batteries, but other then that i've got no complaints.
git yer swerve on!
