I am in dire need of help.  I am new to this forum and not heavy into installing stereos.  My wife has a 2001 Tahoe.  I am installing an afetrmarket HU.  I plugged in the new HU, and there was no noise.  The old stereo had two connectors, the main one and a smaller I think 9 pin or so.  Anyway, I have no provision for the smaller one - What do I do with it?  If I leave it unplugged on the factory stereo, there is no noise through the speakers, as soon as I plug it in, there is noist.  How do I make this work?  I am using a Metra 80-1858 adapter.  Help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The pink wire in the small 9 pin wire should be the remote turn on.  So hook up the remote turn on output from the radio you are putting in to that wire and you should be good to go.
