I will be installing a sub amp in my buddy's 2004 cadillac cts. it has a factory amplified sub in the rear deck that I will remove. I want to use the speaker wire from the factory sub amp to feed a line out converter.
Does anyone know of a line out converter that will be able to handle this kind of power? Ive seen this one that says it handles 80 watts per channel

just wondering if anyone has had any experience connecting to factory subwoofer wires on a cadillac, or does anyone know how much power the factory amp put out.

i had a look at the factory sub, its a dual voice coil and there are two 18-20 gauge speaker wires running to it.  i'm thinking that the amp powering it, isnt that powerful.  i've got a spare LOC somewhere, i'll try that first.
