I want to run my amp in tri mode. i will have 2 10's hooked up normally running at 4 ohms, and 1 15 running at 8 ohms bridged. how many ohms is the amp going to be running at 4? or somethen else? also would there be any better way to wire these? the 2 10's are dual 2 ohms, and the 15 is a daul 4 ohm. i will be using relays possibly to shut one or the others off depending on the music im listening to. maby but probly not. any info?
hmmm.... was that the right wire?

What you are describing is NOT tri-mode and in fact is not recommended for most amps.  What amp is it?

The amp will run at 2 ohm stereo (or 4 ohm bridged).  See http://www.bcae1.com/trimode.htm for a full explanation.

A better way?  Run the 15 off a separate, dedicated amplifier.  You can use a class D mono amp and run it at 2 ohms if you wish.  Turn it on when you want to use it.  Have each of the sub amplifiers switched with simple toggle switches on the remote turn on wire:  run one at a time or both if you want to.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

Its a Clif Designs CD30.2LX 1000 Watt 2 Channel Amp. It says its 3/2/1 channel so its capable of handling it. I might just buy another smaller one, and another one for my highs. Never herd of the amp until i saw it on the internet. and it look good, did some background on it and it even had my name on it so i bought it. but yea any thing you recommend?

Clif, while not a recommended configuration, (and as DYohn says, NOT technically tri-mode) it will run like that perfectly well, with (generally speaking) no issues. Your total load on the amplifier will be 2 ohms per channel, and I am assuming that would be a safe load option for the amp that you have chosen. (I haven't looked it up to see...)
As stevdart says, though, a better option will be a dedicated amplifier for the 15.
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

Giving you your 3 channels. But i doubt it was designed to run the way you want it to. i would like said above either pic the 10s or 15 or get another amp. {/TD}{/TR}{TR UNABLE="on" hb_tag="1"}{TD style="FONT-SIZE: 1pt" height=1 UNABLE="on"}{DIV id=hotbar_promo}{/DIV}{/TD}{/TR}{/T}{/TABLE}{div style="width:240px;border-bottom:1px solid #eeeeee;margin-top:10px;margin-bottom:0px;"}{/div}{span style="font-size:.70em;line-height:1.2em;color:#000000;"}2007 Acura TSX {BR /}SQ setup in the works{/span}
