Hello, I searched the forums before posting but was unable to find an answer to my question.  I appologize if this is was answered in another thread, I wasn't able to find it.  I have a Viper 350HV RS/Alarm installed on my 2005 Ford F150.  The cranking time is too short and rarely starts my truck on the first try.  I have reviewed the install instructions, but found no info on increasing the cranking time for the RS.  Is this accomplished by a dealer with a bitwriter, or is this something I can do.  The dealer said I will have to drop my truck off for a full day. viper 350 cranking time - Last Post -- posted image.

1st of the truck should be set to tach. not voltage, 2nd the 350HV is a alarm there must be a RS add on.

As PSS5075104 has mentioned, if the system was professionally installed it should have been installed using a tachometer connection not voltage sensing. With a tachometer sensing installation the RS will crank until the vehicle actually starts as opposed to running the starter for a preset amount of time making the system much more reliable.
Also as PSS has stated, the 350HV does not have it's own RS capabilities which means there must be an add on starter installed with the alarm. Without knowing the exact make and model of the RS itself no one would be able to explain how to increase the crank time. However if the installer used all DEI products it is possible he/she used a 561T and the manual for that unit is available here on the12volt in the downloads section ( click here). Programming instructions and options start on page 26, the feature you are referring to is number 5.
Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.
