i am installing a remote starter on a 2005 silverado crew cab i got a directed 1700g module the locks worked fine , but the door trigger output and the key sense are not working when i conected it the alarm didnt sensed the doors , i had no trouble with this i wired eaco of the four doors an they work , but the key sense is not working , first there are 4 green cables on the ignition harness one goes along another green into a conector behind the fuse box , and another goes into the conector behind the steering wheel (that is where the ligthest green cable is and where i got the key sense input conected), i tested in 3 of them and it dint work the truck does crank but does not keep runing , unles that when it is starting i get the key on the run position , and then i take the key out and it keeps runing without the key (but if i just leave the key in place it does not keep runing either ) and this is how i wired the interface red +12v , black ground ,BROWN / white i not conect , green /black lock alarm,violet/black lt green wire on ignition , blue/black unlok wire of alarm , RED / white n/c , green n/c, gray /black n/c , ligth blue unlock alarm , blue N/c , purple , pin 2 databus . and the remote starter like this all cables are the ones in the igition harnes +12 red , starter yellow , ignition 1 pink , igmition 2 white , acc orange , what do you think that the trouble will be , the same directed module on a 2003 silverado did start the truck but the locks didnt work , and it goes the other way in this one it does lock unlock but dont start please help

to make absolute sure which one is the keysense wire, take off the steering column shroud and use the wire going into the key cylinder.

This is a good one. I did a search on this site for DEI 1700G there are mixed reviews. A couple of these show NOT using the key sence.

I believe you have a bypass issue (obvious I know) But what? I'm not sure. Again, alot of these posts said switching over to a 457G made the diff.

i dont believe the key sense wire has anything to do with your problem.  all the keysense wire basically is let the vehicle know there is a key still in the ignition cylinder and makes the door chime pretty much.  that's about the jist of it's purpose.  the passkey system is what makes it not start or allows it to run if it's the correct key.
