Ive probably done two maybe three installs and with each ive found that when i have installed the sub/amp component the battery starts to spill acid everywhere over time. Seen this occur in two different vehicles. Now that i have a new car i want to install a new system as the stock system is no good, but dont want this to happen again. So my question is, is it either my dodgy install or is there a component i am forgetting that could be causing this problem. Could it be a cheap quality amp wiring kit not being able to supply the amp properly? Or am i simply missing something and this is simply the bi-product of the amp requiring heavier loads of power and the battery is overcharging... Any help would be grately appreciated... If you need any more details please ask and i will supply. Thanks

basically how are you connecting the amp to the battery . ihave done thousands of installs and this has not happeneds. to even cars with really old batteries
possitive wire to amp fused.
ground to chasis as close or shorter than 18 inches from amp
remote wire from radio.
are you doing any different from that . using proper size fuse etc

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.

Thats exactly what i have done. The only thing in the equation that i could question is correct fuse size. I have basically used what ever fuse that was supplied in the amp wiring kit. Both times i have used cheap amp wiring kits that could be the problem ill look into the specs of the amp and the future kit i purchase. Could the quality of the battery cause this specific problem?
