I am going to install an alarm system for a FORD EXPLORER 1999, would anyone tell me if the DEI 556U will work on PATS system and of course I have to lose a key.

yes it will. some of the fords are able to use the 555f if you can get a hold of one that is what i would use you do not loose a key with this bypass.
