I'm running two Infinity 10's. My question is, while listening to music, some bass notes hit really hard and shake everything inside. But others sound very weak and almost like I'm not running any subs. I can understand that this could be controlled thru a crossover. But how do i do it and how can I make all the notes hit with power?

every sub has a frequency that is particular to that sub like 10s hit diff than 12s 15 hit diff than 12s and 12s hit diff than 18s.. depending on weather ur box is sealed, ported, vented,or bandpass particular bass notes will be dominant so if ur dominant bass note is 45 hertz 45 hertz will sound better than 50 or 55 hertz and besides changing subwoofer, or box that note will be YOUR note so also if u underpower subs then your weaker notes may just not be coming threw ........ damn i need spell check
why do i do this to myself

Which infinity subs are they? Reference? Kappa? Kappa Perfect?  And what type of box do you have them in?  Finally, what type of vehicle do you have?  That can really make a difference in your bass and whether or not it hits the way you want it to.

could be crossover point or slope, also could be that the box is bandpass or vented, and you're hitting the tuned port frequencies when the sub hits hard.
if it's in a sealed box, and rossover points are good, you may just have a weak amp.
remember that below the tuned frequency of a vented box, the rolloff is very drastic.
Below about 40-45Hz usually, you won't get much without using about ten times the power, and then you run the risk of over-damping and poorly controlled driver mvoement, which leads simply put, to blowing the cone out of the sub.
