Here's the deal. Got a pair of 10" punch HE's (8 ohm) and am running them in a sealed prefab box. Sounds good, but I want more output and a little more custom look. I'm not a stranger to building boxes, but I can't find any info on box size, port length etc. Can anyone help me out?

From the RF website:

Ported box volume: 1 ft^3

Port size: 3" dia. X 13.25" long

Here are the TS parameters from the website if you want to run it through WinISD.

Fs 34

Qts .507

Vas 1.1 ft^3

Xmax .51"

SPL 85.7

Thanks for that. For some reason, I couldn't get on that website from work. Lemme ask you guys something else: What could WinISD do for me?

Well you can use it to help design a box for yourself. There is an excellent tutorial here .

With Qts at .5, you may have found the best response using a sealed box. Build a nice custom sealed...you don't have to vent to have custom. And also work on different placements for most output, along with plenty of damping of the car's sheet metal.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

Oh yeah? Thanks for the link on the tutorial, definitely gonna give it a read.

And as far as sealed goes, I'm having trouble interpreting what I see. I just want more output. What kind of airspace should I use?

my friend and i installed 2 of those in an 18 wheeler in boxes that were like 12x10x12....and it sounded really good...those are really good subs...not sure how it sounds with a port but it sounded fantastic sealed...
