making speakerbox but no speaker specs

I'm trying to create a ported bass speaker box for two to four 6" speakers. I have the woodworking skills & tools, all the material (1/2, 3/4, plywood, 1/2 particle, various tubes sizes), and nice little amp. The speakers are new: 2 svc speakers (Rated 40w Peak 100w 4 ohms) & 2 dvc ( Rated 65w Peak 200w 4 ohms) but I do not have any other specs for the speakers they were given to me open. I have also searched and read everything I could for the last two & half weeks trying to figure this out on my own. I've tryed the calculators but they want the specs I don't have. Keeping up with Wirewise, I have searched the forum for a week and have not seen any other topic relating. So how do I size a box tuned right to give some boom?

Oh, I do have 2 of the max dims: 7" Heigth x 22 7/8 Width x ???? Depth

I normaly would completely agree with you about getting a 10" or 12" and be done with it quick and easy, But I don't have enough space to put even a 10" in. Please note the max dims I have listed, the front you would see is 7 inch high/tall and 22' wide and the requested spot. The bass box is replacing a drawer under seat-couch-bed, whatever you call it. (I did read, watch, see this done before with 6" but can't remember where.)  To top it off with a big fat cherry, it's one of jobs that I can't get out as its a past favor marker being called in. It's one of those favors that your real happy & thankful you got but knew that the payback is going to be big. I usally can figure it out on my own but I am stumped, most of the time I can just scan over the other posts and figure out what to do, not this time. For these reasons is why I am asking, almost pleading for help/advice from you all.

I didn't look at those dimensions.  What kind of "boom" is expected out of this project?  Is this an RV, camper or what?  What is this supposed to do, work in lieu of a subwoofer?  Give your expectations.

It would be lovely to be able to create musical projects using nothing but materials on hand but that usually isn't the practical case.  This is one such case.  You have nothing to work with, with four 6" drivers as described.  They don't appear to be designed as subwoofers, by their power ratings (unless a couple of them look  like this Goldwood.  Is this it?  Their specs need to be determined by actual testing, if no published info is available, to determine what position in a music system they could adequately fill.  My guess is they would not make much of a "boom drawer".

Look elsewhere for a solution to pay your debt.   HERE is something that may work for this project, and might be used in multiples within that space, if necessary.

The trailer is...... I guess a....work/equipment trailer. He designed it and built it. It's real nice, you really wouldn't know he did it himself. Stainless steel edging/molding and screws, the cherry cabinets with orangewood layments I did. It's so nice, he has forbid me from taking any pictures as he's working on patenting it. It's a mix of 5th wheel, ATV hauler...It's just different. I want to give him something that would give some boom. I'm not expecting to win any sound contest but to just be decent for a 4x6ft space. I thought this would be just fine with the 6" speakers. Thinking about it, the (2) 6" DVC remind me of Sony XS series, with the poly cone, the 3 tweets in the center, and the 4 -12 screw down design. Hmm... probaly knock offs. But they got strong magnets!! From 18" away (I measured) it distorts a old tube monitor screen I have. This morning, I decided to try something offbase, I got my Logitec subwoofer and took out the 6" in it and tested each of the speakers in its place and the DVC sounded good, & could feel some boom on full vol with Tone Loc "Wild Thing" and Def Leppard " Pour some suger on me"  The SVC, start to distort about 85%.

Sorry if I may it sound like a burden, its not, its alittle stressing I was just  illustrating my issue. It's wasn't a money favor, more as "standup" for me & with me when no one else would thing.

Thanks Stevdart for your continuing efforts and time. Oh, in a humorous reply, I did ONCE make a box using 3/8 birch plywood with no cletes for a 12" pyle woofer. I had to due to constrants of where is was to go and cubic space the woofer needed in the sealedbox & it worked flausly. I even heard it survived a car collison the owner got into but I think not..... How I did it, uh...I don't know.  Now ask if I could do it again, no! It was one of those planet & star allignment things.....
