how do i turn 6v into 12v i have a component that takes 12v but i only have six volts coming from the switch any answers ppl i tried relaying it but the relay doesn't activated off of 6v

A 2n3904 transistor would work great - run the voltage in to the base, ground the emitter, and hook the collector to the (-) side of a 12vdc relay. You will need a diode across the coil of the relay.
