Hey installers. I scored a full timr job at a computer engineering firm, but need some extra cash. Just wondering what people think of best buy as a non-serious job. I have almost no installer experience. I put in my own pioner double pin dvd system, which was stolen, and my own directed remote starter and an ignition kill switch. I do have a degreein computer engineering, however, so I know most things electronic. Because my full time jobs pays well, Im really only interested in BB for the experience, extra cash, and of course, the discount. I'd probably only want to work on Saturdays. Is it possible to work at BB one day a week, on a weekend?

I've never worked for BB but I would think it would be nearly impossible to come in and only work weekends with no experience.
Also, if money is tight now, how do you plan on buying the tools required to install? Most bigger places will have a tool list and a set time to obtain all the tools on the list after you get hired.
Lastly, with the amount of time it takes to train a professional installer if you only worked one day a week it would take years. There is no benefit to BB to hire you. You would be better off trying to find a part time job at a small shop sweeping floors and helping out where you could - possible for free for a period of time just to gain the experience.

Thanks for the honest opinion. I suppose I'll see what else I can do and keep installation as a once-in-a-while hobby
