Hi everyone!

I killed my '96 Ford Explorer and have since begun to tear parts out of it for other means. As you can tell by the heading of my thread, I would like to build a BBQ rotisserie using my windshield wiper motor as the turning aperatus.

Since it has several wires coming out of it (Red, White, Blue, Black), I was wondering if anyone knew the proper way to hard wire this to a 12Volt battery?

By "hardwire" I mean, just have the motor turn at one speed, Low!

Anyone have any wiring ideas?

think you'll need the switch for low speed...then i'd get a super low gear ratio to turn it.
I need quality equipment, feel free to donate.

thanks Maxst!

I figured out the wiring.

white = +   black = - the red and blue wires are the switches for low and high. when they are grounded together the motor is in low and when blue is grounded by its self, the motor is in high...

Thank again! maybe I'll have a reall car question next time Wiper motor for a BBQ Rotisserie -- posted image.
