NOTE:  Some models of this vehicle are equipted with PATS (Passive Anti Theft System).  Use DEI module 555U to over-ride during remote start.  *1 The CSM (Central Security Module) is in the passenger side "C" pillar.  *2 The GEM (Generic Electronic Module) is behind the glove box above the kick panel.  *3 For tach go to one of the ignition coils or coil pack and use the wire that is NOT WHITE/ lt. blue.  *4 The GEM in this vehicle shuts down after the doors have been locked for a certain time period

Hey i have a 2003 explorer and the wiring is the same.  My question is is why are the acc. wires and such in the harness such a small guage.  I have the valet 551r remote start that I took out of my 99 explorer.  Can I install that system into this truck or do I need a different system.  Are their any differences in the intstall please help me out

The wires are smaller because there is not as much of a current load on the ACC wires as there is on the larger power, ignition and starter wires. You can transfer the system from vehicle to vehicle.
