does anyone know where I can get information about putting in a switch to disconnect the passenger side airbag? The customer already went through the procedure to allow us to do it.

remove centre console and the unit should be behind with big signs saying do not move position of this unit on the left hand side is a plug with two wires, if there is no voltage acrossthem then cut one wire and simply add switch in series, if there is voltage then you need to apply external voltage to the lines and the add switch with power running to the switch because the moment it loses power going in...........do I need to say more????

Many people such as children and small built people can be seriously hurt from the deployment of an airbag much worse than the accident itself. Many new cars come with the option of turning off the passenger airbag.
This a 2000 Grand Marquis and I'm not sure your tip about the location and procedure would apply.Any help is appreciated
