I have seen a few high end systems that contain a PC.  I am curious as to what purpose this serves.  I am running 3000 watts to 2 12" subs and 4 mids/highs.  My question is what purpose does a PC serve and how could I improve the quality of my system with one.

The purpose in most cases is simply this......"Do you have a computer in your car?"

Other than that.....The incar PC offers on the go internet and E-Mail Access....GPS....MP3 Storage and playback...MPEG & AVI Playback.....All the other uses of a PC....There is too much to list....

Thats what I thought but I wanted to make sure.  If I wanted to save dvds to a harddrive to playback on demand, what would be the best for that?  i have the monitors and player (underseat) with a cd receiver and a distrobution block for the a/v.  what type/model of harddrive would be best for that application?
