I'm looking for the wiring diagram for the cable connector located in the trunk of my 1996 SL2. The wires on one connector have completely broken off and I can't tell which color wire goes to what pin. I consequently have no trunk release, license plate light, trunk light. The brake warning lights in the rear window also aren't working; not sure if they are connected thru that wiring harnass.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Richard

Hey Richard I would test the wires coming from the front of the car while trying the functions one at a time.  You may need an assistant to help. For instance to step on the brake pedal for you observing which wire then gets 12 volts. When you find it have him/her let off the brake and see if the voltage goes away. If you dont have help you could improvise and wedge something against the brake pedal. Do the same with other functions. Then you could apply 12 volts to the other pins and see what happens if you dont get a diagram. Just a thought.

That's a very good suggestion.  I'll give that a try; if it ever warms up in this neck of the woods.

Thanks
