i heard of a company in Penn. that offers REALLY freakin cheap insurance to antique cars... 25 years or more, if you have those antique plates put on them. rates ugo up if you drive the car more than x miles.

anyone know what i'm talking about? if so, do you know where i should look for info on this. searches on the net just get bombarded by crapola insurance stuff.

I have a 52 Ford truck and I have insurance through USAA and it is relatively cheap. It would be less, but since I am restoring to stock it doesn't certain safety equipment (i.e. seat belts) that they would like it to have.

Try Grundy Insurance, they offer reasonable rates. I've had my '32 Ford Streed rod insured with them for the past few years. I think the mileage limitations can depend on which insurance company you use and what state your car is registered in.

I'm in Virginia, my previous insurance company, Great American Insurance Company, offered the basic policy with a 3000 mileage limit, but you could pay more and up the limit to 5000 a year. I switched to Grundy, and not only do I pay more than $100 less a year, but they allow me unlimited mileage use.

The policy rate is based upon your driving record and the agreed value amount of the vehicle you need insured.

Shop around and get the best deal!

I have a 69 GTO that I only drive in the summer on nice days I got Progressive got a pretty good deal. I do have 2 other cars on it though. You probably have to call and talk to somebody at Progressive about it. Also you can get limited insurance if you don't drive the car during winter and are just storing it.
