I have an Xterra 01 with a remote start.  Yesterday I left my lights on too long and drained the battery.  When I tried jump starting, it wouldn't work.  Even the tow-truck's jump did nothing.  There is a constant clicking coming from a small box under the steering column behind the fuse box, and also clicking from somewhere behind the battery.  I don't even get lights, windows, or radio, even after paralleling a battery with mine to see if that is the problem.  Does that just sound like a bad battery?  And I'm assuming that the clicking has something to do with the car alarm and not the remote start continuously firing?

Take the dead batt out, and put a brand new one in. Some times a batt get so dead that in will not take a boost.

You could have also blown the main ignition fuse under the hood, pain in the ass to replace but only 5 bucks. The alarm wouldn't prevent the lights and other acc type of devices from turning on.
