What type of glue is best to fix cracked plastic car bumpers? Or what is the best way to patch them?

I usually use fiberglass resin on the front and back of the bumper, repeat process a total of 3 times on back. Sand, primer, paint. Hope this helps.

They make a two part urethane weld product that works really well. I had my front fascia custom molded and that's what the body tech used to hold everything together. Once painted you can't tell whats stock and whats added.

This link has some epoxy's that will bond urethane together and most of them are clear in finish so you can't even tell where the break was if refinished & painted.

The other thing to try is a product such as Duramix. They make several flexible repair materials that bond very well. They are not cheap, but they are cheaper than a new bumper cover. Just figure out what type of material you are fixing, and select the right product for the application.

What kind of car? I have a 98 civic and a new bumper cover from certifit is only $27. Shouldn't be too much to paint considering you would probably have to do it anyways.

Jeez... that's cheap.... wow. I priced one for my own car just for fun. Came in at just over $500. Not painted, no rubstrip/license plate holder, etc.

I still can't belive how cheap that is for a Honda.... wierd.
