I had this infinity in the shop the oter day for a simple handsfree kit install. The custome came back yesterday saying they have no backlight on the center console A/C knobs, clock, etc. I have also noticed that the taillights are not functioning. Brake and blinker are fine. I have triple checked every fuse in the vehicle and nothing is blown. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Its a motorola kit. Tapped power in the radio harness. The only thing I can think of is when putting everything back together, I got the clock plug and the hazard light plug backwards. I corrected the problem and both the hazard lights and the clock still work. Just not the backlight on the clock. Im thinking maybe this is a BCM issue?

Do the hazards and clock still work?

Are you sure you checked ALL the fuses?  There should be an IPDM module under the hood (possibly behind the battery) that most likely has a tail lamp fuse in it.  This fuse feeds the tail lamp relay that turns the tail lights on and off.  The fuse might also power the light in the clock (just a thought).

All of this info is based off the wiring of an '04 350Z.  The Z and the FX35/45 share the same basic platform, and their wiring is typically very similar.

Your best bed would be to log on to infinitifx.com and request for someone to send you the LT.PDF service manual file.  In that file it will detail all the fuses and fuse numbers/locations for all the lights.

Yes, clock and hazards both still work. Only thing I'm having a problem with is the lights. Checked all the fuses in cab and under hood, all good. Owners manual was no help at all. Doesnt even tell me what fuse is for the lights. I had to bring it to the dealership because the customer was getting impatient. Hope its not oing to caost me too much.
