one way is to take off the positive and negitive terminals on the battery, wait 5 minutes thouch the two together and then put them back on the battery, some cars will take longer than that, we've had to wait up to 30 minutes on some cars. another cheap way is to go to an auto zone or probally a store like them and they will read the code for free and reset it, don't tell them why it is on so they will look at it. good luck!!!

disconnect  the cars  battery for about 15 minutes  hopefully  will reset the Ecm.   or else you will have to take into the dealer.

Is up to the installer to test all wires with a DMM whenever possible.

Disconnect the battery for about 1/2 hour or so.  Either that or take it to a garage and they can reset it for you with their scan tool.

They will reset it after they read the codes.  Just tell them your check engine light is on and you want to know whats wrong.  They will hook their scanner up to it and say that there is a code mass airflow sensor or whatever your unplugged.   They will then try to sell you a part to fix the problem but just tell them you want the code reset and you will wait to see if it does it again before buying the part which of course you will not need. engine check light help! -- posted image.  If I were you I would try disconnecting the battery for 30 mintues first.  That should work.

another alternative that i have used is remove  the fuse for the ECM (for a few min.)  under the hood where the relay and engine fuses are located. that should take care of "check engine"light. ( it worked on my 94 celica)

It is also likely that the light will reset itself after a few days.
