i have a 2000 geo metro 4 cylinder auto that someone has installed an after market cruise on. it has one these markings on a label. e24c    326   9
it has a 10 wire connector in the back that has this pin out on it. across the top the colors are. w * b r bl
across the bottom colors are. b * y p g
w= white b= black r-red bl= blue y= yellow p= pink g= green.
this unit surges when applied, and it does it more when warm,hot that cold. all the wire connections are under the dash, including the throttle connection to the gas peddle. i have installed a 3"x 8" pvc for a vacuum chamber, having not at first. i need to know what the wires are suppose to connect to. red should be 12 volt+ black ground but the rest? if i locate the brake switch i will discover that wire but the speed i need to find. also if i can connect the unit to a tack or coil for speed input. i think the vss connection may be messing with my speedo. thanks bp

I don't which brand of cruise it is, but most surging problems are a result of poor throttle connections or throttle geometry. If your cruise is using a pedal pull set-up, your best bet is to find an experienced cruise installer to repair it. Pedal pull cruises are very difficult to engineer so that they work smoothly. The other factors are poor vacuum source and poor power and grounds.
