My cruise stopped working through the steering wheel controls a little while ago. The cruise system turns on no problem, as indicated by the grear dash button light.

I've taken steering wheel button controls from another 240sx, and mounted it in my center console. It has a Red, Yellow, and Blue wire. I have the yellow wire spliced into the GREEN / WHITE harness so the horn can operate - I believe the yellow wire is for the "cancel" button.

The other two wires are GREEN/ Orange and GREEN/ YELLOW. Seems easy enough but when I connected it up it didn't work, I swapped the red and blue wires and it still didn't go. Are these connections hot swappable? (change them while car still running  and they'll work?)

I change cars too often to put one here.

yellow green at I/P connector behind glove box near door pillar of Pass side.

To gain access squeeze sides of glove box and lower out of the way.

Your Yellow Green is probably the same wire.

huh? ok, so which wire connects to the GREEN/ YELLOW? The red one or the blue one?

The wires coming from the button are red, blue, yellow. I'm trying to connect these to the wires in the steering column that are the colors above..
