All -
I'm seeking the Ford SecuriLock Interface #3 (for PATS). The Ford OEM Part # is 1L2Z-19G365-AB.
If anyone has one of these older (circa 2001) units lying around in their stock, I'm seeking one (or more).
Thanks in advance for checking!

Most any 19G365-AB should work. Don't worry about those leading characters. What year/model are you working on?

It’s a 2004 Ford Thunderbird.
The PowerCode alarm system specifically calls for the 1L2Z PATS interface for Thunderbird.
I’ve looked at others and am somewhat confused to understand what the differences are between them, but the PowerCode is installed and everything works perfectly, but it will not remote start.
If there’s someone out there with experience in the Ford PowerCode alarm/remote start systems, feel free to chime in.

Are you getting any horn honks when you try to remote start?
If you hold you ignition key's head against the ignition switch and you try to remote start, what happens?

eguru, thank you for your inquiry. I am attempting to assist a friend in North Carolina troubleshoot this no remote start problem. Though, I have the exact same car and exact same PowerCode system (pending installation.). So, we BOTH have a vested interest in getting his remote start functioning.
I’ve email him (Steve) to sign-up for a login for this website and to chime-in in this thread. Expect an reply from Steve directly.

eguru...
Steve just tried remote start with the key on the ignition (not in). There was 2 short horn honks and a click from under the hood...nothing more/no crank.

This is the most recent from Steve:
Just now I went to the car and tried again. After resetting the system, I placed the flat of the chip part of the key on the ignition switch, hit lock button twice on the spare remote. The car responded with two short beeps. Then, I pressed the remote start button and it gave me one beep. I continued to hold the start button and that was when the alarm (sounded). No crank/start.

Was the RS ever working or is this a new installation?

It’s a new installation. We are trying to troubleshoot the remote start function. Everything else (alarm, keyless entry) works.
*This is a Ford PowerCode Gold system installed.
The system was installed by an experienced mechanic with a good knowledge of Jaguars (sister car) and they electrical installation has been gone over a few times to check for problems, but this remote start problem persists. We were left thinking it must be that the PATS interface must need to be the specific 1L2Z unit. As that appears to be the only anomaly from the installation instructions. We used a later version of the Ford PATS interface. The only difference physically between the two appears to be the antenna ring on the interface (the 1L2Z has a flexible loop, whereas the later one has a hard ring).
I know this is an older model (2004) and a Thunderbird (same basic car as a Lincoln LS and Jaguar S-Type electrically-speaking), but we’re hoping these symptoms is something some experienced alarm installer has encountered and can offer a resolution for.
Many thanks in advance for anyone’s input.

Did you program the car to recognize the SecuriLock by using two keys?
