Hi, I have a 2006 gmc sierra regular cab pickup. I am trying to figure out where i can get material on how multi alternator setups are designed. My truck came stock with no A/C & its the v6 so i probally have 9 inches between the front of the motor and the radiator. I am going to do a bed cut and I have 6 ORION HCCA 15" woofers. I know it is overkill haha but oh well. I do know that extra batteries wont cut it so I want to run probally (4) 500 amp alternators.

any help is greatly appreciated!

I HAVE FOUND THE SOLUTION, LoL.

There is a company called IRAGGI ALTERNATOR, the specialize in all of this so for about 400 bucks i can just purchase the brackets. Their alternators are a little pricey but come highly recomended.

I take it this is your first Big build huh? Dominik is a very good guy. High quality work and has been around a long time. He has done many multi alt setups and has many vehicles already taken care of in this respect. Wish I would have seen this post earlier. I could have saved you some time and searching. BTW his alts are very stout. They will do exactly what he says they do if not more.

Multi-alternators?
Do you mean combining outputs, or separate systems - like <whatever alternator> for st'd electrics, and <SupaBIG Alternator> for separate bettery(s) & load(s)? (The latter being no problem, the former is...)

hey Thanks reed, yep I have just stuck the basics on installs some of it got a little intense but never like this. we changed our game plan after speaking with him , we are going with a few more subs hehe but he has the charging system covered and its not to expensive at all. I do know if i were to outsource this to someone and they were to have to eingineer this setup the bracks alone would be high $$.

And to answer your question spark yes im goin to runa quad set up plus one extra in the A/C compressor area we are using a 220(a) for the truck it self then an aditional (4) 380 (a) alts for the system and to give you an example here is a picture of one of Dominick Irragi designed and built

I will keep every up to date on the build and take lots of pictures! we are now going with (18) ORION HCCA 15" Loudspeakers and (4) 12'S and 40k watts.alternator fabrication -- posted image.
