Here is what my setup looks like. I want to build a nice looking system. im opened for anything. eitehr its a big enclosed fiberglass system or a nice plexiglass seal. up for anything!!

92 jeep cherokee laredo.... I have AAA but I would like to keep the spare tire there if at all possible. I would like to make the whole thing move able but its not a must. IF its like 2-4 hundred dollars more to make it custom (never could be taken out job) then I dont want it but if its gunna be like 1-2 hundred dollars more just to custom fit it ill go for it. But overall if i could make it so i can transfer it but thats only get another suv which is most likely but not definate not at all.

My experience level....None, nothing, gunna work with a few friends and just learn..read most of the articles and how-to videos and are ready to go for it. I would love to get some help by a professional and show me how to do it but in NYC I have nobody that i kno. Im willing to sacrifice as much as i need to make it look nice..could use it all.. could use 1/8 I;m totally up for anything and don't need the trunk room that badly. Time and money isn't really a big deal but Im only going for about $100-300tops!

First define your definition of a "good system".  A "good sub" can run $400 easy.  And an amp can run like $600.  You need to define what exactly you're lookin for more.  I would say you can build a decent system for around $700.  That's like one 10" sub and a good amp (the base for a nice system), and material cost (fiberglass).  And also remember time.  Let me know what you're thinking.  Because me (and all the other guys here) can give you the system of their dreams, or one that they can live with.

Fiberglass isn't extremely hard to learn how to do.  It's something that takes experience to get better.  I would do a mdf and fg combo.  Make the back and sides out of mdf and then the front and top out of fg.  This type of setup would be amazing.  I'm about to start working on one myself.  This guy's got a good page setup to show how to practice and then how to do a more advanced project.  http://web.njit.edu/~cas1383/proj/main/   Try this and see if you're up to it.  If not then dxav has a good idea of using mdf and then putting resin over it and giving it a really nice finish.  I did this with an older box of mine and it was a shiny glassy black finish.  Looked good with the pearl finish on the infinity subs.  But yeah look into fg and make you're decision on that.  What kind of subs and how many do you have?  What are the specs for box volume for them?  Let me know and I might be able to draw something up for you.  (or is the L7 and amps your system?)
