Im plannign on making a box for the back of my expedition out of MDF but i want to fiberglass over it to give it a little more than carpet. Ive never worked with fiberglass before but i have read some tutorials on how to. I was wondering on how many layers i should use of fiberglass if im just going to be covering a box. If anyone knows of any good videos or tutorials on this issue it would greatly be appreciated. Thankyou!!

If your going to make a box of MDF, you DON'T have to fiberglass it to get a smooth paint job out of it.. Your best bet is to make your box and sand it to a 400 grit finish, Then, take it to a spray shop. MDF is a very easy wood to work with and it will sand very very smooth. If you fiberglass an MDF box, you will be sanding it for the next 3 years.LOL

If you are wanting to get into fiberglassing I would tell you to to check out glassmans custom forum. I ordered my videos off of ebay. They have helped me out a whole lot. For my it was worth the investment.
