Ok I kinda hitch hiked on M&M so I'll get my own, sorry. Anyways I'm looking to create a new center console, from scratch. I'm not sure if I want to approach it with a wood framing or if there is some sort of molding material that I could use that I could shape then FG over and remove the inside. I don't have much experience with woodworking(and a lack of tools here) so I'd prefer to avoid that really. Any ideas would be great. Here is a couple ugly ass pictures to give a basic idea.

Any kind of foam that you can carve and shape. Almost none of it will stand up to the resin (some will). Mask it off with tape and foil first and should be good.

Well I planned on masking/foiling, just wasn't sure if the heat would bother it. Any good places for this foam? Walmart by chance? ;)

I made mine out of 1"x2"s' and chicken wire for curves, worked great, I had to double up the chicken wire cause it was a little flimsy but all in all it worked pretty well and I was able to pull the chicken wire out from the bottom when I was done.
go custom or go home!!

Going the floral arrangement at first I believe. Will see how it goes. Of course I got a few other things to get done first (Like carpetting going back in, and panels.)

floral works....like they said foil and mask it....maybe to layers cause the stuff does melt and deform under heat....maybe not the heat from curing but its worth a try...sorry to repeat what other have said but....its what works
