What materials do i need for this?

Im new to this so bare with me.what materials aside from mdf to start a foundation will i need to build a custom 4 12' sub box the current space is the entire third row seat of a 04 explorer xlt. so if anyone can tell me what materials i need i will attempt to make something like this for learning purposes and well if it comes out good use it if not garbage. I want to achieve making something like this similar to this but 4 sub mounts and 4 amps in a rack

Forgot sand paper, sand paper, patience, and sand paper. You also need wood, but that should be a given.Certified Security Specialist

I've been sick lately, sorry I won't be on much.

so in what order do these materials go stage wise 1. wood 2.? 3? 4? 5? still dont know and also is there anything that i have to mix? or is everything pretty much buy it and ready to use? and my last one any local stores that will carry these things and if so named brands you recommend thanks

Oh yeah i forgot tell me if i am wrong but i recall watching an episode of on the discovery channel they where showing off 310 motors and west coast. the guy had a huge block of foam and he carved out the shape he wanted then he added a hard coating then fiberglass etc.. and this box was killer. would that provide a better density then mdf for noise cancelation and vibration so at the end the result is better clearer frequencies? How about air ports i see alot of these custom fiberglass jobs look nice but where the hell does the air blow out? or is not supposed to? and what are these advantages of having the subwoofer inward and regular outward sorry for all the questions just curious and well this is a forum

In a selaed enclosre the air isnt suposa be blowen out.  A ported enclosre has a vent on it that allows air to be pushed from the box.  If an enclosre dosnt have ports it is designed as a sealed box, ported boxes usalyy require more space aswellClarion DB36MP

Before attempting anyting even close to that you will want to build something small and work up. If you don't do this it will be suicide for you.Why do you ask if I ate paint chips when I was younger?
