I am working on a 2002 Chevy Corvette.  I am concentrating on the door panels.  There are two halves to this door panel, the upper half is black and the lower half is red.  I want the lower half to be black also to match the upper half.  How do i go about takin off the panels.....to....takin the vinyl off and applying new vinyl?? Also would like to know where i would find the same color black vinyl.  Thanks for any input.

the door panel is held on by clips and a couple of screws.. to seperate the two sections of the panels, find the plastic plugs that are melted into the holes on the upper half, they are attached to the lower half, and heat them, they should pop out of the holes. then you have the two sections loose from each other.

I don't think that you can replace just the bottom half, I think they are glued on.  I wanted to do the same thing, only I wanted red on the bottom.  That's why I was offering to trade my all black door panels for your red and black door panels.

Either you misread my post or i am misreading yours. The bottom half isnt glued on, if you look at it there is a series of stubs on the bottom half where the upper half overlaps. if you run something hot like a hair dryer over the stubs, they break loose without breaking plastic, and then the 2 are seperated.
