I am installing a 15" Cerwin Vega Stroker in 98 BMW 740iL. I am thinking that I will do a spare tire well enclosure because I don't really see any other way to get the required 5 cubes. The customer wants top notch materials and I am kind of worried about the strenght of the enclosure as this is an absolute monster of a woofer. I am planning on using epoxy resin, but I have never used an epoxy before, only polyester. I am considering using X Mat for a few of the layers.......good idea?
I am just looking for some advice and vehicle specific or speaker specific tips and also a few tips on materials. I have a TAP Plastics right down the street so I have access to just about every kind of material I need.

I would talk to the guys down at Tap P then. They really know their stuff when it comes down to glassing. I wouldn't get my stuff for any other place. Tap for life! ever thought about using a layer or 2 of carbon fiber mat? The tire Well is a great place for a little added support, so for that sub sounds like a good idea.

I love custom audio like a fat kid loves cake!

I don't really have any useful advice to offer other than this sounds like a really cool project. I've always LOVED the strokers and will probably end up buying one soon.
Please keep us updated on the progress

I'd say use the X Mat, and I agree with cdoo, you should'nt have a problem since 3/4 of the enclosure will have support from the surrounding tire well, therefore eliminating A LOT of flex when that b***ch pounds!
