Anyone feedback on doing a perfect circle for a subwoofer enclosure? Are there any downfalls to doing such? Someone told me that its not reasonable because the waves inside were not effective. It doesn't seem too hard a task, but is it worth the time and money? Any feedback is much appreciated!

I completely sealed, round sphere, aside from the portion that has to be flat in order to house the subwoofer.

I've seen it done, actually 3 of them in the back of a talon. Sounded good but seemed like a big hassle for not much pay off

xtac,
to answer your question, a spherical sub enclosure would not be a bad idea.  One advantage is that there will be NO standing waves inside the box because there are no parallel walls, also it will be REALLY REALLY strong since FG is super strong on curves :)
Is it just me, or is that guys whole trunk set up off center?
Either way it does look kinda cool,
Let us know if you try the spherical sub "box"

Actually, spherical enclosures if done properly actually do better than average enclosures. If you are looking to save a lot of weight, there is a carbon fiber sphere enclosure and 10" sub on the net that only weighs in at 13 lbs. Car Audio and Electronics magazine rated it very highly. 89 out of 100 if we are not mistaken. It looks kick butt, and sounds even better. no phasing and no vibrational canceling. We'll see if we can find it again.
