sunroof

i was wndering how hard it would be to put a power sunroofin my 98 expo sport or how much it would be to have someone install it

all i know about aftermarket sunroofs is i have seen a lot of them f'ed up, not to say that cant be done right but thats a big hole in that nice water tight sheat metal. just do you reasearch and see if you can get some referrals to some one thats on top of there game.bring back the rotary phone so i dont have to press 1 to proceed in english

Yeah make sure you are absolutly sure that whoever does it knows whats they're doing.  I know a guy that paid someone who "used to work for a body shop"  to install his sunroof.  The guy gave him the address to his "new shop" and told him to drop his car off there.  Turns out the guys new shop was his gerage and he had never installed a sunroof before.  My friend ordered his own sunroof and gave it to the guy and the guy asked to make sure the instructions were still in the box.  He totally screwed it up.  It was crooked and leaks horribly.  He's had to goop silicone into the gap to try to keep the rain out.

I know that is not funny, but... then again it kind of is, lol. Did the guy get a refund or discount?I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

I've been a sunroof installer for 6 years now and this is not something a dyi person should do. Have a professional shop that does sunroofs do it. There is a lot of different styles but a full power that vents up and retracts in to the roor is what we install in suvs. If my memory serves me your truck has ribs that sink into the roof and that means you gotta know what your doing.
