very specifically for door panels and the like - my antique has a arm rest right in the middle of the door with 2 4 inch long, 1/4 inch thick screws that anchor the 'pull'ing acting to close the door to the interior skin of it. only problem now is i need a creative way to be able to reskin the door and hide those damnedable mount points.
anyone have suggestsions, examples, stuff like that?

Can you make a cover that clips on to the structural part of the handle, but still matches?  Pictures would help a lot.

Here's a rough sketch of what I'm talking about.  The blue would be the door, black the pull, red the cover, and grey the bolt.

That would be a good solution
I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

aamp of america, select products, metra all make two piece panel clips....its basically a cup that gets flush mount to whereever you need to hold the piece on and then you drill out a hole on the inside of the panel and insert a plug the plug has a plastic ball on it that looks similar to a retaining clip the ball pops into the cup that youve mounted
