mute on '04 mercury marauder

If you can not find out anything else, Audiovox has the following info for the amp turn on wire.  It will probably require a transistor and a relay to interrupt the amp turn on wire during a call.  If you want to go this route, I can post a diagram for you.

I believe it is Pin 7 at the main connector of the radio..same row as the Battery and Accessory wires.  If the Battery wire is Pin 1, Accessory Pin 2...well you get the idea.  And it is active low (negative/ ground signal).

i've done searching online and with contacts I have.  I have found diagrams pertaining to the pinouts at the back of the radio and descriptions/functions.  When the mute input is activated, it enables a mono line input.  This in turn outputs sound on the front speakers...if memory serves me correctly.  The radio will need to be on for this to be possible of course. 

As for a terminal to insert into the factory connector housing, there are a few options.  The connectors are made by Molex, HDAC 0.64 series...The Molex website has references to Ford, Tyco and Molex part numbers.  Metra has their 71-5520-1 connector set.  Remove a terminal for your use, I believe Metra fills all possible positions with a terminal and wire.  A phone interface harness will provide the same options as above...usually they are 'T' style harnesses.
